Here's the thing. . . I keep having these thoughts that my baby will come early. Like, a month early. I wish I knew if they were inspirational feelings or just thought. Whatever it is, it makes me really excited to think that I could have a fresh new baby in just a couple of months! Whether he's early or not, I am getting really excited for my new little man! Scared out of my mind, but overjoyed at the thought as well!
I am so excited for Brayden to be an older brother. I am so excited to hold another precious newborn. I am so excited to have another shot at raising a little boy and teaching him about life. I am so excited to see my own growth with this new addition. And yet, I'm nervous that all these things won't go well. Mostly, I'm holding on to the excitement and pushing the fear aside. I don't know why, but this pregnancy has zoomed by. I've hardly remembered I'm pregnant all the time and now he's almost here! So, I'm just catching up on all the exciting anticipation I've been missing out on I guess.
Baby's doing great! He kicks around a ton. Brayden moved a lot, but he had a lot of slow movements that you could watch. This little guy is always full of quick punches and kicks. We watched my belly for 10 minutes last night just seeing him make his sudden movements. I love him already!
Name update. . . well, there isn't one yet. But, here's the ongoing list of options:
- Zander
- Connor
- Tyson
- Taylor
- Quinn
- Cody
We really don't know about our favorite name yet. Something about Zander just draws us in, but we know it's bordering weird and Preston's family has already informed us that they will call him something else. So, there's some strikes against it, but I still just really like it at the same time. It would grow on you I'm sure. But, the other names are all good too and not so weird. TELL ME WHAT YOU LIKE AND DON'T LIKE! Seriously, we love feedback! Good and bad!

Wow, you're brave! I hated telling people the names we liked because I didn't like getting feedback :) One of the names we liked was actually Connor, so I have to say that if my favorite. Quinn is really cute too. There isn't a name I dislike in the list actually...good picks!
I really love Zander. There is a woman I used to work with who loved the name, whose family also protested. She ended up going with Aleczander. That way, he could use Alec or Zander without being an Alex. I thought it was cute (definitely not for everyone).
I have a lot of Alexander friends who go by Xander too, so I don't think it's too terribly strange. And really, people should call your babies by the names you choose. Let's not confuse the little guy!
I like Zander!! I really don't see anything that weird about it. I also like Quinn a lot too =)
We took a while to choose our children's names and we sent out surveys to family and friends of the top picks. We loved the feedback.
While reading this I thought it sounded normal thinking we had a conversation about Zander but we have not. Weird impression. Zander is not my favorite of the list, though. I would go with Connor or Tyson. I think Taylor and Cody are now unisex so I would steer away from them but it is your decision. Good Luck.
While we have been thinking of names for our little girl, some of the best advice I got was just choose what you like regardless of what others think, so if you both like Zander, then you should go with it! (same thing with Toby, even though we gave you a hard time before :)
Personally, I like all your names and Connor is one that we were thinking of if we were having a boy. But they are all cute. Are you going to wait until baby brother comes to see if one "fits" better? You could also check out the meanings of the names and see if that helps you narrow the list down a little :)
Don't forget to check the initials as they could become unexpected nicknames with friends...
I like them all! I am excited to think that I can give you direct feedback in just a few more days!
