New Project

I'm so excited about my new project at hand!! I've been wanting to make something. . . you know those crafty urges? Anyway, I have a whole list of projects to do, but the one that I've started getting supplies for is building a toddler bed for Brayden! It's actually going to be pretty easy. I found several Toddler Bed plans online and I merged a couple together to create the idea for Brayden's. Here's what it will look most similar to, but with a few differences. I don't like that this bed is all the way against the ground because then I can't use the under bed space for storing stuff. So I'll be changing that. But, I do LOVE the edges being covered with fabric and I already went and got my batting, fabric and staple gun for that part! SO EXCITED! It's gonna be cute! I'm planning on getting the wood today or tomorrow during President Day sales. I got some steals on the other stuff. I got fabric that's usually 12.99/yard (way more than I would have ever paid!), but it was 50% off plus I had a 20% off coupon, so it wasn't bad. The batting was 50% off too plus the 20% off, so that was awesome. The staple gun wasn't on sale, but I got it at Micheal's where I happened to have printed off a 50% off coupon as well, so it was only 5.99.  Total spent so far: $25. I expect the wood will be 20 or less, so I'll have the whole bed for about 40-45! Not to bad. I'll be posting pictures for sure!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you had a great Valentine's yesterday! Valentine's just hasn't ever been a very special holiday for me, but I always dress up in my red or pink and enjoy the good excuse for a date with Preston. Brayden got Daddy some Krispy Kreme doughnuts and made a heart shaped Valentine and took them to Daddy's desk while he was in class. With a little help from Mommy he got it all together and decorated Daddy's desk a bit. Brayden had fun spinning in Daddy's office chair while decorating and Daddy enjoyed his treats :)

We also got a nice package from my Mumsy - Thanks Mom! - complete with chocolates, gummies, a game  expansion and a little stuffed animal for Brayden.

Preston made me a survey to complete all about our relationship. . .  do you get the feeling that he's into research? He also took me to dinner and a movie and had candles lit for when we came home. Very sweet. We didn't have reservations and the Olive Garden had an hour wait, so we used some codes that we both got in texts for a free chipotle chicken flatbread sandwich with the purchase of any smoothie at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, took the food to Lake Ella which was a happening spot! And then we were early to the movie so we got our tickets (which also happened to be free thanks to an awesome cereal deal) and strolled around the mall. We saw Gnomeo and Juliet 3D. It was really cute! and funny! I liked it.

So, we had a good Valentine's Day! Hope you did too!!
